A Day in the Life...

Today I woke up missing home. Learning language is hard and it takes work. Combine that with a struggling perfectionist and you have a frustrated me having to remind myself I've only been here a week and a half and to be patient. One of my teammates reminded me we are like babies here: learning how to talk, how to walk (and not get hit by traffic, ha), how to act, what to wear, how to eat (with our hands and not utensils) etc. It takes time and I have peace knowing I don't have to do it by my own strength. So, after I made a cup of starbucks instant coffee (I was tired of Nescafe, haha) and spent some time with the Lord, we headed out to a meeting about our ESL classes- one that would give us closure if it would happen in this particular place or not. Here's the journey:
This is the bus we got on

Totally saw an elephant on the way

Got approval for our ESL classes!

This train was stopped on the tracks and we needed to cross so we just hopped on and walked off on the other side. We're so resourceful, ha

I bought these chips cuz they made me think of my sister.

Recap: woke up in a crappy mood, had some awesome time with the Father, rode a bus packed with south asians, saw an elephant walking down the road while on my bus ride, got approval to move ahead with classes, hopped a train, bought some cereal that was supposed to come with a temporary tattoo (here's hoping it's actually there, haha), bought these chips, and had some homemade authentic south asian food. PTL, good day.
